Sorting and searching

Sort data by columns
Contacts by default are sorted alphabetically by column Name in ascending order. To sort contact data by any column, click the column title. Clicking the same column title again will reverse the sort order (ascending / descending). When you switch to another group, contacts will return to the default order by Name.

Wildcard search
The "Wildcard" search in the program is extremely fast and easy - simply type any part of a word or a number that you remember anywhere in the program window. The text you type will appear in the Search box. The program will narrow down the search results with every keystroke you type, filtering only those records that have a match.

It does not matter if the part of the word you are looking for is at the beginning, in the middle, or at the end of any data element - even those that are not shown in the table. The program also highlights matches to ease finding the record you are looking for.

In most cases, just a few keystrokes will be enough to find a contact.

Keep in mind, however, that if you have selected a group, the program will search data only within that group. If a contact not found in the selected group, try to search the entire book - select ALL CONTACTS.

The search box is located at the top, to the right of the tool buttons:

To clear the search result, press the ESC key, or click the button on the right side of the search box.
