Setup popup reminders

E-Z Contact Book can display advance notifications for birthdays and other events. These notifications will periodically appear in a popup window in the corner of your screen when the program is running:

Birthday reminders

To add a new birthday reminder, open the contact editor on the Reminders page, and:

Note: New reminders will only appear if the Active box is checked. Birthday reminders will be displayed starting from the chosen advance date and for up to five days after the birthday unless turned off.

Reminders of other events (non-birthday and recurring reminders)

There are three ways to add an event reminder:

Non-birthday reminders work similarly to birthday reminders but offer an important additional feature: recurring reminders.

To make the reminder recurring:

Tip: If you use the Sync feature, a Private checkbox will appear. By default, reminders sync with other connected devices.
Check Private if you want to keep a reminder only on your device.

Example of a non-birthday reminder in the Contact Editor:

You can add reminders for calendar events that are not linked to any contact. To do this:

  1. Open the Calendar view

  1. Add, edit, or delete reminders directly in the calendar
  2. Double-click a reminder to edit it, or right-click for options like Edit, Delete, or Send Email (if applicable)
